Tryouts & Registration (September/December) -

The State ODP process begins with player identification during tryout sessions in November & December. These tryouts take place in various locations across the state and are used to identify players for the State Pool team. (Registration fee due by December 31st)
 

Winter Tournaments & Training Sessions Announced (December 1st) -

The State ODP Committee will review winter indoor tournaments and various ODP events from within our region. The winter schedule will be posted no later than December 1st.
  

Region II Camp Schedule (December 1st) -

The boys & girls Region II ODP Camp schedule will be posted by December 1st for all age groups.
  

State Pool Announced (January 1st) -

After the tryout process is complete, the State Pool players are announced. These players have been identified during the tryout process by the state coaching staff as players to be considered for the final state ODP team. These players are invited to participate in training events and tournaments throughout the year.  Once the state pool is announced, the training fee is due.
   

State Coaches Assigned Teams (January 1st) -

The State ODP Coaching Staff will work with all players during the tryouts process. After the "Pool Players" are announced, these coaches will be assigned teams for training.
  

Spring & Summer Schedule Set (January 1st) -

The spring & summer training & tournament calendar is finalized for all teams.
  

Player Deposit (April 1st) -

A $300 player deposit is due by April 1st for all players attending the Region II event. If a player is cut from the State Team, this deposit will be refunded.
  

State ODP Team Announced (May 17th) -

On approximately May 17th, the State ODP team is announced. These are the players selected to represent South Dakota at the Region II ODP Camp. If a player is not selected for the ODP camp, they will be listed as an alternate and may continue with team training through the end of the season. The are also invited to the State Camp at the ODP rate. (The remaining fees are due for all players selected to attend the Region Camp).
  

State ODP Camp (June/July - location TBA) -

Prior to the Region ODP Camp, players will be invited to attend the State ODP Camp. This mini-camp will simulate the Region II Camp experience and all state pool players are encouraged to attend. Although the state camp will be open to all players, ODP players will receive a reduced rate for participating. Space is limited and we are expecting the camp to fill quick so players that want to attend should pre-register as soon as possible. (The State ODP Mini-Camp is encouraged but optional. Participants may pre-register by May 15th. All registrations are due by June 15th).
  

Region II Camp (July) -

The Region II ODP Camp will be held in Overland Park, KS (boys & girls 98's) and DeKalb, IL for the girls 93-97's.
